The Wedding of Mharee & Jenzen

At a 90% compatibility rate (yes we checked), it’s no wonder that Mharee and Jenzen ended up finding each other among 8 billion people in the world.

It was a blazing hot sunny day and Mharee and Jenzen’s hot chemistry wasn’t helping at all! However, it did certainly help with their wedding!

Conveniently in the heart of the city on the banks of Swan River, Aloft Perth boasted stunning views and allowed for equally beautiful photos of their special day. Mharee was stunning from the get-go but with a touch of Creations By Kassy’s magic, it was like a Disney Princess appeared in front of us. As soon as she got dressed in her gown from LuvBridal, it truly felt like everything was coming together. With her eight bridesmaids by her side, Mharee was full of smiles and nothing could have ruined this perfect day.

Meanwhile, the groomsmen were already having a banging time by playing dress up with prince charming, Jenzen and vice versa. Saving the bed for his bride, Jenzen laid on the laps of his groomsmen most of the time to conserve his energy for the big day ahead and we couldn’t agree more with his idea!

After a gift exchange of jewellery to Mharee and a Tissot watch to Jenzen, it was time for the big doors to open and start the big day!

Honestly, this was one of the hardest weddings to shoot because everyone was so emotional so the team was equally as emotional! Both Mharee and Jenzen could NOT hold back their tears as Mharee walked down the aisle with her beautiful bouquet from ArtDefleurid. Alongside their heartfelt vows to each other, we were more than glad to watch them kiss and tie to the knot so no more tears would be left to cry.

Before they were taken away by friends and family for the reception, our team swooped them away for a few photos. With 16 bridesmaids and groomsmen, their whole team really radiated #squadgoals and they looked straight out of a k-drama to save the day. A team favourite was definitely when the groomsmen threw Jenzen into the air so thank god for arm day because Jenzen could have been somewhere else!

Now for the best part of the day, the reception!

We wish everyone could have been a part of the wedding because words can’t describe how epic it actually was. The speeches were touching and the private dance had the bride and groom dressed head to toe in cash, a very typical Filipino tradition that has you indirectly asking for money, a great tradition if you ask us. Let’s hope that tradition becomes one for every culture. Not only was there a spicy Q&A but there were several dance battles between the bridesmaids and groomsmen, a lap dance from the groom to the bride and even choreographed dance routines which had everyone up on their feet! Literally, every single person was on the dance floor banging out to the music by ChangpagnePapi

Let this be a lesson that dessert should always come last because, after the intense exercise, everyone was in need of sugar and drinks. SoBakedByAnne prepared a stunning two-tier white cake adorned with blossoming flowers and we’re thoroughly surprised nobody tried to steal a bite or two before the cake-cutting ceremony.

It was an absolute vibe spending the entire day with Mharee & Jenzen and we hope that every moment captured will always be remembered in their hearts just like how their wedding is engraved into ours.

Cheers to Mharee & Jenzen!
