Must-have Photos to Take During Your Wedding

We all know that a wedding needs to be photographed and filmed for a multitude of reasons. For example, whenever you feel like bashing a brick onto your partner’s head, a wedding photo will remind you of how much you’ve already invested in your partner so surely you’d save the effort. Surprisingly, there are so many photo opportunities during a wedding, some of which aren’t too obvious so continue reading for some of the must-have photos for your special day!

#1: Getting Ready

For all my emotional people out there, this might be a hard one for us. Looking back at these photos, you’ll notice the little details you hadn’t before. The smiles from your bridesmaid as you’re getting dolled up, the little smirks from the groomsmen, the hidden tear here and there. Not only are you capturing your transformation, but also the emotion hidden behind every face.

#2: Jazz it up

Not only have you spent the time but also the money to choose your accessories for the big day so why not give it the attention and love it deserves? These accessories might be memorable or passed down the family line so let’s give it its own mini photoshoot to shine shall we? Sing with me, shine bright like a diamond ~

#3: Don’t Look!

Sometimes, the best photos aren’t on purpose or ones you’re properly posing for. Just as how chocolate chip cookies were made by accident, candid photos can also turn out looking spectacular and might be the little OOMPH you’re looking for. Loosen up and enjoy yourselves on your big day and let the photos do the talking.

#4: All the Dances

Don’t worry about looking silly and pull out your fanciest and flashiest dance moves to get everyone in the room lit! Even if you’re not a confident dancer, everyone knows how to sway am I right? If you’re still shy, like I tell everyone else, imagine everyone in their underwear and you’ll be cracking up the entire time, not only are you enjoying yourself but you’re providing great photo opportunities for our photographers!

#5: Look at that cake! (No pun intended)

Back in the 1700s, maidens would sleep with a cake under their pillow in hopes of dreaming of their future husband. Let’s hope that nobody does that now because I can’t imagine how your dry-cleaners must feel. Instead of sleeping under your cake, let that cake stand proudly in front of everyone as it basks in the spotlight it deserves. Ranging from hundreds to millions of dollars, it provides a great photo opportunity but maybe don’t smear icing on each other’s faces, especially for brides, they won’t be too happy about hours of makeup ruined!

Now a wedding provides many photo opportunities so hire a wedding photographer you absolutely trust, for example Iceberg Media! These are photos you’ll hang or place all around your house so it’s got to be banging. If there are specific poses or photos you’d like, it would be great to discuss with your photographer in advance so the team can plan for it! Happy weddings everyone!
