Emerging 2023 Wedding Trends

The future is always unpredictable like who would have predicted low rise jeans would have made a comeback? Thus, these trends may or may not make it to 2023 but here are a few that we think will commonly be seen in weddings for the new year.

a green wedding

With recycling becoming the new IT thing of this generation, it’s no question that sustainable weddings are now in the picture. We see sustainable efforts in the little things in life such as E-mails instead of physical mail or for instance, the new law prohibiting plastic straws and bottles in WA. Sustainability in weddings can be seen through recycled paper invitations and organic or plant-based menus. A favourite of ours would be drying bouquets from your partner and when it ultimately comes to your wedding day, instead of using fresh petals for the wedding entrance or exit, you can use the dried collected petals which would be not only sustainable but also memorable.

intimacy

With the pandemic came the fear of crowds and thus why many couples are now opting for more intimate and smaller weddings. Many countries such as Hong Kong have not allowed travel till recently, meaning couples would not have been able to invite many people as well. However, this does not mean it is any less memorable as this creates a more personalised and intimate wedding that focuses on close friends and family. Not to mention, you save lots of money!

big & bold

In with the new and out with the old, maximalism is back in the game and it is predicted that couples will opt for big and bold colours in 2023. Moving away from the traditional white and pastel hues, 2023 might see vibrant and bold weddings and Iceberg cannot wait for all the fantastic photos and videos that it’ll create! This will also include bigger and bolder flower installations such as flower walls, suspended flower pieces and archways.

the marriage of tech

Many couples found solace in technology in the past year due to the pandemic and it’s not stopping anytime soon. With many still afraid of travel, a lot of weddings are including digital aspects such as live-streaming for the guests who aren’t able to come or digital props such as photo booths and custom hashtags on social media. This also branches to digital gift registries where guests can digitally send over gifts to the couple, saving everyone the trouble and hassle.

inclusivity

2023 is all about inclusivity and eliminating all forms of discrimination. With a focus on diversity, weddings might include incorporating cultural traditions, showcasing LGBTQ+ representation, and prioritizing accessibility for all guests. It’s 2023 everyone, surely there’s a solution for everything by now!

florals

Serving as a beautiful backdrop, big floral archways have increasingly become popular over the years and for good reason!

Not only are they a stunning visual element but floral archways are also a way to add a touch of uniqueness to your wedding! Just like any other floral decoration, floral archways are perfectly customisable making them an incredibly versatile decoration for your wedding.

We’re so excited to see what future wedding trends will continue to emerge in 2023 and we’ll be sure to capture every moment!
